Gilded frames in a galler

Hand Finished to any colour

Brushing on first coat of undercoat.

I use specialist decorating paints that produce the most amazing finish, even when hand painted. I like to work with the client to find several options to choose from that not only bring out the best in the painting but also work in the room where the painting is to be hung.

Gilding from 24ct Gold to Copper

I love to add some form of gilding to most of my frames. Whether it is a thin line of Gold to a fully water gilded piece. A gilded frame doesn't have to look like it belongs in a museum and it doesn't necessarily mean gold either; I often gild in silver and copper and use chemicals to alter the colour of the metal producing some amazing effects.

Unique Mouldings

For me, every frame has a standard set of properties. There is always an inside edge, middle and an outside edge. This might seem obvious but it means that I can effectively combine several mouldings together to make something new and unique even if that means using wood planes to alter the design in order to get it just right.
